University network

The University Network is a research and development platform that aims to advance research in the energy sector, in collaboration between the IDB and academic research centers in Latin America and the Caribbean. He goes to the meeting of research centers and universities in the region that are currently producing quality content. Its benefits include participation in long-term research projects and support in the generation of knowledge products. It will also finance research projects based on the guidelines identified by the IDB and the University Network.
EN Gigawatt

Gigawatts (GW) research projects are academic research projects carried out within the Network of Universities of the Energy HUB. These projects allow the development of new indicators, as well as the continuous collection of data with special emphasis on the issues of access, integration, energy security, sustainability, innovation, regulation and governance.

ENERGY DOSSIER

The purpose of the Energy Dossiers is to provide concise and orderly information on the composition and organization of the energy sector in each country, including the regulatory framework, institutional framework, technical and economic characteristics of the sector.

Each Energy Dossier has three main sections:
- The sector in figures: harmonized sector charts
- Structure of the energy sector
- Historical evolution of the electricity sector
